The Sitka Capitals defeated the Taku Winds, 4-2, in Alaskan League action at Capitals Park. Sitka pitcher Michael Reyes had a standout performance. Ron Garrett closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Taku drops to 3-3.

Sitka took a 4-2 lead on Melvin Robertson's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Robertson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Taku pitcher Kichibei Baba visibly frustrated.

Said losing manager Josh Christensen: "Give the Capitals credit. They played a better game than we did."
