Claymores Saddle Coqui with 3-0 Loss
|
In a low-scoring contest, Scottish pitcher Masanobu Agano was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Masanobu Agano picked up the win in relief for Scottish, while Akira Nakagawa took the loss. With this game in the books, Scottish is 77-53, San Juan 71-59.
Scottish used a big swing from John MacVurich to get the win. The left fielder walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Claymores up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
MacVurich told a Scottish Observer reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
