The Takaoka Shiko got production up and down the lineup while beating the Escondido Stone Brews, 13-3. One standout was right fielder Norm McDonald. McDonald, who is tied for 10th in the BCL in hits with 61, was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Bob Smith was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 5 hits, with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts. Shuncho Samurakami collected his 2nd save.

Third Baseman Yugoro Tanaka made an impact for Takaoka, when he swatted a 2-run double off José Ramos in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Tanaka went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
