Sherman Launches 2 Dingers, But Mexicali Wins
Though he had a stellar game, Scott Sherman could not prevent his team, the Salton Sea Kilmers, from losing, 9-5, to the Mexicali Shmoes. Sherman hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The second-place Shmoes now sit at 35-23.

Mexicali took the lead, 6-4, on Jorge Díaz's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Díaz hit in the bottom of the seventh, made Salton Sea pitcher Yu-hsui Ruan wince.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Díaz told the Mexicali Bulletin.
