Ito Leads El Cajon to 2-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the El Cajon Virus and the Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas, Manabu Ito, who is tied for 4th in the BCL in strikeouts with 55, proved to be the difference. The El Cajon right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Virus win. Ray Serna got credit for the save for El Cajon. It was his 10th of the year. The loss makes Ensenada 16-26.
Ito, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 4-3. In 8 innings of work, Ito gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 7 Ks. He kept the Las Brujas Malvadas punchless, offensively.
"It was a good effort all around," said Ito.
