Briggs Helps Ako Beat Olympians, 9-5
The umbrellas came out during the Magami-Nagano contest at Graviton High.

Paul Briggs powered the Magami Ako to a win over the Nagano Olympians. The final score was 9-5. The Magami first baseman was phenomenal. He stroked 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. With the win, the Ako improved to 20-23.

Briggs contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Magami in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Briggs took a slider from Gaetan Deangelo and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Ako to leap in front, 5-4.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Briggs told the Magami Daily.
