González Hits 2 home runs in Onryou Win
|
Gakidou third baseman Pablo González helped his team beat the Salton Sea Kilmers, 5-3. González, who is tied for 9th in the BCL in home runs with 7, went 3 for 4 for the Onryou. Bill Reed earned the win for Gakidou. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 3-1. Salton Sea's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Gakidou catcher Elias Vail contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Onryou ahead, 5-3.
