Maulers Get One-Run Win at Scottish
Manchester left-hander Derek Valera pitched his team to victory over the Scottish Claymores at The Castle. The final score was 5-4. Earl Lucas, who finished 3rd in the SL in saves with 37 in 2037, earned the save for Manchester. The Maulers sit in second place in the Imperial League Seaboard with a record of 22-26.

The Maulers got a big at-bat from right fielder Dae-su Hwa. For the game, Hwa was 1 for 4 with a triple. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Manchester a 1-0 lead.

"We ground out the win," said Hwa. "That's all that matters."
