Gakidou pitcher Bronson Leseberg did his part in helping his team beat the Calexico Reins, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Leseberg, now 2-1. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8. Archie MacGachan closed it out for Gakidou, earning his 6th save.
The Onryou got a big at-bat from second baseman Harumi Kawamura. For the game, Kawamura was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Gakidou a 3-1 lead.
Gakidou manager Henry Carter called it "a good, solid win."
The loss makes Calexico 14-15.
