The National City Bankers got a stellar performance from pitcher Jesús Solís, who handcuffed the Gakidou offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Bankers Ballpark. The win gives National City a season record of 14-12.

Byron Price dealt the Onryou a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and National City leading 2-1, Price, who is tied for 3rd in the BCL with a 1.040 OPS, hit a 2-0 splitter for a run-scoring single.

"Big team win," Price said later.
