Despite the rain, the fans at GeoFront Grounds enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Marduk Nerv picked up a win at GeoFront Grounds, knocking off the El Cajon Virus, 4-0. Starting pitcher Lou Milton was a big reason why. The winner was Milton. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Matsuo Yamashita.
The Nerv got a big at-bat from left fielder Carlos De La Cruz. For the game, De La Cruz went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Marduk a 1-0 lead.
"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Milton.
The win has Marduk at 12-11.
