The National City Bankers converted a terrific effort from starter Russell Howse into a win over the Salton Sea Kilmers at Kilmers Ballpark. The Bankers won the game by a final score of 4-2. Salton Sea, with the loss, is 15-7.

National City won the game in part because of Ryunosuke Tsuchiya. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bankers ahead, 3-2. For the game, Tsuchiya had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Russell answered the bell," said National City manager Dominic Bélanger.
