A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Gakidou Onryou and Tijuana Saguaros.
Gakidou pitcher Augusto Ramírez had a large part in his team beating the Tijuana Saguaros, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Gakidou reliever Bill Reed got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Nick Jacobson was tagged with the loss.
Will Guzmán was 1 for 3 with a walk against the Saguaros. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Gakidou in front, 4-3.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Gakidou manager Henry Carter. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Saguaros are now 8-15.
