Shmoes Send Ensenada Home with 7-4 Loss
|
Fans of the Mexicali Shmoes who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Mexicali win over the visiting Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas, 7-4. Guy Besemer started for the home team against Bing-zhong Wa. Christopher Davidson earned accolades for his performance. Jelle Middehof closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Isacco Magnaldi hit a bases-clearing double off Bing-zhong Wa in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Shmoes in front, 6-4. In addition to the double, Magnaldi had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Magnaldi said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
