Shipbuilders Earn Win with Late Rally
The Govan Shipbuilders had to overcome a fine effort from Drumright pitcher Thiongo Koriche to win, 5-4, at Riverside Park. Koriche went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. David Ruíz snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Ming-feng Tsang suffered the loss. Govan, now 68-60, holds down third place in the Amber Waves League Intercontinental.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Govan. That's when 24-year old second baseman Zi-jing Hsi hit a run-scoring double off Ming-feng Tsang to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

Hsi told a Govan Citizen reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
