Starting pitcher Thiongo Koriche pitched well enough to help the Drumright Tornadoes beat the Cheyenne Frontier, 6-4. The Tornadoes saw their record improve to 71-52.

The Tornadoes got an important contribution from center fielder Chun-yeong Kwon, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a full count fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Tornadoes ahead, 3-0.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Tornadoes manager Niccolo Arcimboldo.
