The Utrecht Scholars defeated the Nassau Vulcans, 4-2, in Amber Waves League action at Utrecht Park. Utrecht pitcher Chris Anderson had a standout performance. With the win over Nassau, the Scholars improved to 65-44.

Suezo Ishihara hit a 3-run home run off Luis Ocasio in the bottom of the second, which put the Scholars ahead, 4-1. In addition to the homer, Ishihara had 1 double, while going 2 for 5.

"This is not a one-man show," said Anderson. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
