Middle Bass pitcher David Milbank had a large part in his team beating the Bismarck Battleships, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Roberto Moreno picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-2. José Márquez suffered the loss. Getting the save was Todd Armstrong, his 9th.
Kiyotaka Sato had a direct impact on the outcome. Sato contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Middle Bass up, 3-2.
