Govan starter Sotatsu Sakurai pitched well against the Kingston Suns at Riverside Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. Sakurai, now 6-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. The Suns, now 30-62, have lost 4 straight.

Nelson Brito had a big run-scoring double for the Shipbuilders in the bottom of the fourth inning.
