Bears Suffer 5-1 Loss to Bismarck
|
The Bismarck Battleships beat the Birmingham Bears, 5-1, at Battleships Ballpark. Bismarck catcher Ye-qing Loh led the way. He was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. David Grant, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. The Battleships lead the Amber Waves League Big Sky by 2½ games.
Loh contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Bismarck get the win.
"I still think this team can play even better," Loh told the Bismarck Times.
