Claymores Win, Silva drives in 5 runs
The 9-7 Scottish win over New Orleans was due largely to José Silva. The Claymores first baseman went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Scottish raised its record to 22-14 with the win.

Silva contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Scottish in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 6-5, Silva took a slider from Seiichi Sakaguchi and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Claymores to leap in front, 9-6.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Silva.
