The Utrecht Scholars licked the Drumright Tornadoes, 7-1. Doug Hester deserved a big chunk of the credit. The third baseman went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Scholars. With the win, the Scholars have a record of 42-35.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Hester hit a 2-run double off Evan Gould. It propelled the Scholars into the lead, 3-1.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Utrecht manager Lou Cunningham.
