Middle Bass and Cheyenne got after it at Frontier Ballpark.
The Middle Bass Vintners beat the Cheyenne Frontier, 5-2, at Frontier Ballpark. Middle Bass designated hitter Sam Rolston led the way. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, Middle Bass upped its record to 39-35.
Middle Bass grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Rolston hit a 2-run home run off Luigi Roneberg. His 5th home run of the season put the Vintners out in front, 3-1.
"This team is real focused right now," said Middle Bass manager Donald Mitchell.
