Tornadoes Lose, 3-2, as Vulcans Rally

Drumright got a big-time effort from pitcher Evan Gould, but it wasn't enough to keep the Nassau Vulcans from winning the game, 3-2. Gould threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Ronald Pittman. With the win, Nassau upped its record to 37-25.
Jake Morris came through with a big-time hit for Nassau. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Morris told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."
