Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Nassau Vulcans and Drumright Tornadoes.

The Drumright Tornadoes got a sterling performance from pitcher Sergio Sáenz, but the Nassau Vulcans still prevailed, 3-2. Sáenz threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The Vulcans now have a record of 36-25.

Michael Hayes, who is tied for 7th in the AWL in RBI with 38, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hayes contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Nassau up, 3-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Hayes. "You've got to get results."
