Dockhands Continue Skid, Thanks to Rosa, Twin Titans
|
Juan Rosa was a major factor in the 7-4 Jackson Hole win over Portsmouth. The Twin Titans right fielder slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Eisuke Tanaka, who is tied for 10th in the AWL with a 1.10 WHIP, was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. The current losing streak for Portsmouth has reached 6 games.
Rosa contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Jackson Hole in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Rosa took a curveball from António Marín and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Twin Titans to leap in front, 5-4.
