Vulcans fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The Rapid City Rushmores got a sterling performance from pitcher Ching Yei, but the Nassau Vulcans still prevailed, 2-1. Yei threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. The first-place Vulcans are now 19-12, the Rushmores 18-13.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Nassau left fielder Steve Ellison, facing Shunen Okubo, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Vulcans the 2-1 win.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Ellison.
