Twin Titans Earn 3-0 Road Win Over Fort Wayne
|
The Jackson Hole Twin Titans got a magnificent effort from pitcher Ben Ferguson, who kept Fort Wayne hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Twin Titans win at Fort Wayne Park. Ferguson picked up the win for Jackson Hole, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Kelly Lewis wrapped it up, recording his 10th save.
Jackson Hole won the game in part because of Tadaaki Sakamoto. The catcher ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twin Titans ahead, 2-0. For the game, Sakamoto had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Jackson Hole manager Andy Hood said.
The third-place Pioneers now sit at 11-19.
