Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Kingston Suns and Drumright Tornadoes.
Kingston pitcher Pedro Martínez had a large part in his team subduing the Drumright Tornadoes, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Martínez yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 7, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-3. Joe Caird recorded the save for Kingston, his 8th of the season.
Won-hyung Chong, who is tied for 3rd in the AWL with a .347 batting average, contributed to the Kingston win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
