The Portsmouth Dockhands got a superb performance from pitcher Luke Jones, but the Kingston Suns still won the game, 5-4. Jones threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The Suns, at 11-15, sit in 4th place in the Amber Waves League Intercontinental.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Suns sent 22-year-old catcher Joseph Cooper to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Kingston on top, 5-0.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Cooper.
