Bismarck Battleships starter Pedro Álvarez pitched a strong game against the Rapid City Rushmores at Battleships Ballpark, leading the Battleships to victory, 5-1. Álvarez yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-2. The triumph puts Bismarck at 18-8 for the season.

George Isted had a big 2-run home run for the Battleships in the bottom of the first inning. With Bismarck leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from Ching Yei, who is tied for 6th in the AWL with a 9.2 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Battleships on top, 5-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Isted told the Bismarck Times.
