Shears gets 6 RBI to Fuel Suns Offense
The Kingston Suns had no problem beating the Alexandria Macedonians, 12-3, at Jamaica National Baseball Park. Gary Shears, who is tied for 9th in the AWL in doubles with 6, led the onslaught. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 6 for Kingston. The winner was Pedro Martínez, who threw 110 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. Now 3-20, the 2042 Macedonians have been wretched so far.

Klaus Overwater, who is tied for 4th in the AWL in doubles with 8, aided the Kingston cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
