Otsuka Socks 2 Homers in 8-6 Win
The 8-6 Nassau win over Cheyenne was due in large part to Yataro Otsuka. The Vulcans shortstop hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Brad Dickson recorded his 4th save for Nassau. The win leaves Nassau with a record of 15-8.

Steve Ellison had a big 2-run double for the Vulcans in the bottom of the first inning. With Nassau leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Omar Villarreal and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vulcans ahead, 3-0.

"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Vulcans manager Bennett Dean.
