Late Offense Lifts Cheyenne to 3-2 Victory
The Hoboken Crooners got a sterling performance from pitcher Thad Barnes, but the Cheyenne Frontier still prevailed, 3-2. Barnes threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner in relief was Ramón Aranda. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Steve Carver earned the save for Cheyenne, his 2nd of the year.

Cheyenne used a clutch hit from Jong-suk Ch'ang to get the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Frontier ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

Ch'ang told a Cheyenne News reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.

With the loss, Hoboken falls to 2-3.
