Portsmouth Triumphs with Late Surge

The Portsmouth Dockhands faced a tough opponent in Utrecht pitcher Christian Hardin, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ship Yard by a final score of 4-3. Hardin went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. George Assheton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Félix González suffered the loss. Portsmouth has a mark of 2-4 after the win.
Phil Norton found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Utrecht hurler Félix González, the 21-year-old catcher hit a sacrifice fly. His 1st RBI of the season put the Dockhands on top, 4-3.
