Cheyenne Beats Rapid City, 4-3

Crowds lined up early in front of Frontier Ballpark, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2042 North American Farm Team Affiliation season. On the mound was Jesús Bruno for the visiting Rapid City Rushmores and José Cabrera for the hometown Cheyenne Frontier. In a spirited contest, the Frontier pulled out the win, defeating the Rushmores by the score of 4-3. Especially impressive was Jesús Bruno. Ramón Aranda claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 1-0.
Chipping in for Cheyenne was third baseman Wesley Whitford. He stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Whitford went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
Whitford attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
