Abe Torches Sun Dogs for 5 Hits
Henderson left fielder Iemochi Abe went down swinging at Ballpark of Henderson, knocking out 5 hits even as his Fighting Scotts fell, 6-4.

"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Abe said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Thornton Sun Dogs. "No offense meant to Thornton, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well."

After the game, his manager elaborated on the left fielder's improvements, saying Abe spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.

"That's what I'm trying to do," Abe agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

Iemochi Abe hit a solo-shot off Ken Berrios in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
