Soggy conditions did not keep Provo and Namuko from playing their scheduled game.

The Provo Missionaries knocked off the Namuko Puckmen, 3-2, in Rocky Mountain League action at Field of the Missionaries. Provo pitcher and Newnan, Georgia, native Kevin Harding had an outstanding performance. Fred Gross, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings.

Juan Pérez helped out the Provo cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Harding.

After today's action, Provo sits at 15-15; Namuko slips to 12-18.
