Lakers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Racine pitcher Fernando Martínez had a large part in his team beating the Chandler Waxers, 6-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Racine is first in the Rocky Mountain League North with a record of 21-11.

Racine used a clutch at-bat from Al MacPherson to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Lakers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

MacPherson attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
