The Lincoln Emancipation did just enough to sneak past the Shizuoka Anguirus, 4-3, at Ballpark of Shizuoka. Lincoln pitcher Otte Overgaag, in particular, had a standout performance. Overgaag yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. Picking up the save was Jean-Pierre Thomas, his 5th.
Pu-feng Shuo had a direct impact on the outcome. Shuo contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Lincoln up, 3-0.
"Otte went out and got the job done," said Emancipation manager Juan Ávila.
With the win, the Emancipation have a record of 13-16.
