Niigata Earns 6-5 Win

The Niigata Gigans took Chandler pitcher Fraser MacDuff's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Chandler. The final score had Niigata getting past the Waxers, 6-5. MacDuff went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 2. Shawn Mosley collected save number 7. The Gigans, now 19-9, have been red hot.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Abel Randall? The 22-year old first baseman Randall stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Niigata up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Randall told the Niigata Herald.
