The Racine Lakers topped the Niigata Gigans, 3-2, in Rocky Mountain League action at Gigans Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Racine pitcher and Shihung, South Korea, native Hyo-cheong Cho. Kevin Brickey picked up his 7th save of the season. The hot start continues for the defending champion Lakers. This was their 18th win in 25 games.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Callum Barlow? The 22-year old center fielder Barlow stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Racine up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
