Skyelanders Lose 8-5 Decision to West Valley City
The West Valley City Grizzlies topped the Glendale Skyelanders, 8-5, in Rocky Mountain League action at Ballpark of West Valley City. The game was highlighted by the performance of West Valley City pitcher Don Darragh. The winner was Darragh. He threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Patrício Zeta. With the win, West Valley City goes to 10-12.

Kichibei Sugiura went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for West Valley City. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Patrício Zeta. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

In comments to the West Valley City Observer, Darragh insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
