Shizuoka Scrapes Out 5-4 Win
The Shizuoka Anguirus beat the Namuko Puckmen, 5-4. Shizuoka pitcher and Cheju, South Korea, native Jung-hoon Kim led the way. Shizuoka reliever Takuji Nishimura picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Lawrence Adams was tagged with the loss. Shizuoka is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 19 games.

The game-ending blow was delivered by John Drew in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Lawrence Adams to win it for Shizuoka and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Kim said afterward that "winning is the goal."
