The Niigata Gigans took on the Kyoto Rodan at Kaiju Coliseum.

The Niigata Gigans knocked the snot out of the Kyoto Rodan at Kaiju Coliseum. The final score was 18-1, Niigata. Howard Stephens went 4-for-6 for the victors. Niigata pitcher Shigetoki Takahashi got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Yoshifumi Ohara got the loss.

In the top of the first, Stephens had a 2-run home run for Niigata. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Gigans on top, 2-0.

"What a forgettable performance," said losing manager Arnie Miller.

With the loss, Kyoto drops to 12-6.
