In the 7-5 Chandler win over West Valley City, the impact of Bronson Thornton was substantial. Thornton, who is tied for 3rd in the RML in triples with 2, went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Steve Williams, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 8 and walked 2 over 6 innings, while allowing 5 runs on 10 hits. With the win, Chandler climbs to 7-10.

Thornton contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Chandler in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Thornton took a changeup from Jorge Cantú and stroked the triple to right. His 2nd triple of the season allowed the Waxers to leap in front, 3-2.
