The Thornton Sun Dogs topped the Namuko Puckmen, 11-3, at Sun Dog Field. Thornton third baseman José Soto was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Gui Sun was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Rubén López. Thornton sits at 6-7.

José Alnozo had a big 2-run double for the Sun Dogs in the bottom of the second inning. With Thornton leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Rubén López and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sun Dogs ahead, 4-0.
