Rodan Best Emancipation in Pitching Duel
The Rodan faced a stiff challenge from Lincoln pitcher Alex Tanton, but persevered to claim a win at Kaiju Coliseum. The final score was 1-0. Tanton went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Mauro Bustamante earned the save for Kyoto. The Emancipation fall to 4-7 and continue their wobbly start to the 2042 season.

The Emancipation had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Rodan going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Timmy Leeuwenburgh came to the plate. Leeuwenburgh hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 curveball from Lincoln hurler Alex Tanton. It was Leeuwenburgh's 3rd double of the year.

Leeuwenburgh attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
