Ramón Morales pitched a gem to lead Lincoln to victory over the West Valley City Grizzlies, 8-1. Morales, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 5 walks. With the win, Lincoln lifts its record to 2-1.

Tung Thum had a big 2-run double for the Emancipation in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lincoln leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ramón Sandoval and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Emancipation ahead, 5-1.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Carlos Aquino.
