Sun Dogs Suffer One-Run Loss at Sioux Falls
The Sioux Falls Lakota got their 2042 Global Baseball Brotherhood season off to a good start, defeating the Thornton Sun Dogs, 5-4. Mitsunari Kohara set the pace. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sioux Falls starter Mark Thomas was credited with the win after throwing 100 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

With Sioux Falls trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Kohara hit a fastball from Jack McRae for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Lakota ahead, 5-4.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Kohara told the Sioux Falls News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
